Shipping & Returns


    All orders ship from Toronto, Ontario. With the exception of Mile1 Local Delivery orders, all orders ship through Canada Post. Note: Canada Post is not guaranteeing delivery times during the COVID-19 pandemic. Orders seem to be arriving quickly; however, if you choose the (untracked) Lettermail option for cards, there may be some delay. 

    We'll do our best to ship your order out on the first business day that we receive it! 

    If we notify you via the email address or phone number provided about a problem with fulfilling your order and we don't hear back from you within 5 business days, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund. So stay in touch!

    You'll get an email notification when your order ships, with a Canada Post tracking number and link.



    For Canadian destinations, you will have the option to ship up to 10 greeting cards untracked, using Lettermail, for the rate of $3. The offer applies to orders that contain ONLY greeting cards, and EXCLUDES pop-up cards. Note that during the current pandemic, Lettermail deliveries may experience delays.

    If your greeting card order meets the Free Shipping level for your destination, you will be eligible for regular (tracked) Free Shipping. The Lettermail option is clearly labeled as such, so you don't get any surprises. 



    Shipping within core Toronto and want more control over your delivery? For the same price as standard shipping ($11), you can set your delivery time with Mile1 and receive your order as soon as the next day—evenings and weekends included. And if you're not in a hurry, you can choose to reduce your carbon footprint by grouping your delivery with others that are already scheduled. 

    If your shipping destination is within their delivery zone, it will appear as an option at checkout. Once your order is ready, you'll get an email that allows you to choose a one-hour delivery window. Then you can sit back and relax, knowing when your delivery will arrive. But if you're super-anxious about it, you'll also be able to track it in real-time! 

    Once your order is ready for delivery, Mile1 will send you an email message so that you can schedule your time, so keep your eye out (and check your spam folder!). Or include your phone number to get a text. 

    Orders of $50 or more (before applicable taxes) are eligible for Free Shipping with Mile1. 

    Mile1 does not deliver on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, or New Year's Day.

    Shipping rates for the contiguous US:

    • Flat rate: $25.00 CAD before applicable taxes
    • FREE shipping when you spend: $150.00 CAD before applicable taxes

    Unfortunately, we can't ship food items to the US at this time. We're working on it!



    We'll happily give you a refund for most non-sale items that are unused and in their original packaging if we receive it back to us within 30 days from the ship date. Unfortunately, as an independent business we're not currently able to cover the cost of return shipping. 

    However, if you're able to return it in person to our Toronto retail store, go ahead! We'll refund it to your original method of payment via Shopify once we receive it.

    Non-returnable items:

    • Face masks (PPE)
    • Underwear

    Give us a heads-up at before you make a return, so we won't be too confused when we receive it. We want to be able to refund you as soon as we get it! 

    If something arrives defective or broken, let us know at and we'll issue a refund or send you a new one at our expense.

    Any other issues with your order, or if you need some flexibility, you know what we want you to do:



    You can contact us to cancel orders that ship through Canada Post up until your order information has been received by them. We will leave a 30-minute cancellation window after receiving your order before we fulfill it. 

    Mile1 Local Delivery orders can be cancelled up until your order is picked up by the delivery service. 

    Shopify may take up to 10 business days to credit the refund back to you.
